Gem Support Services was founded by Jessica Allen, a passionate advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Inspired by the belief that it truly takes a village, Jessica and her team are dedicated to supporting people with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities throughout Northeast Florida. Our mission is to provide personalized, dignified care that empowers every person to live, learn, and thrive in their community.
Our Story
Jessica Allen founded Gem Support Services after years of working with families navigating long Medicaid Waiver waitlists and complex paperwork. Her vision was to create a supportive, inclusive community where every individual is treated with integrity, compassion, and respect. Today, Gem Support Services is a trusted partner for families seeking guidance, advocacy, and high-quality care.
Our team is trained, certified, and motivated to uphold the highest standards—quality isn’t just a standard, it’s our promise. We believe in empowering people with disabilities to reach their full potential through community outreach, partnerships, and person-centered care.
The name "Gem" represents our belief that each individual we serve has unique value and potential that, with the right support, can shine brilliantly. Our mission is to help uncover and nurture these qualities in everyone we serve.
